Ko & Associates has been selected by the Bridge Maintenance Unit of the North Carolina Department of Transportation for the bi-annual municipal bridge inspection program in the years 2000, 2002, and 2004. In order to meet FHWA requirements, Bridge Maintenance hires consultants on behalf of the municipalities to inspect all of the city-owned structures in the state every two years. The inspections include a field evaluation, full color reports with condition photos and repair recommendations, as well as a structural rating analysis.

Ko & Associates was selected by the Bridge Maintenance Unit of the North Carolina Department of Transportation for the first ever inspection program for metal traffic signal poles and mast arms. We were charged with identifying, documenting, and inspecting all of the metal poles on state-owned roads in Wake, Durham, Franklin, and Person Counties.

Ko & Associates' personnel have inspected more than 400 structures and more than 450 metal traffic signal poles.
